We are searching for a Principal Systems Engineer in our Advanced Systems & Technologies (AS&T) division, located in Plano, TX.
Our AS&T division is built on the proposition that a small team of the right people can do what others will not even attempt. We specialize in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced small Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience. As Principal Systems Engineer you are responsible for leading a Systems Engineering team in design, development, implementation, testing and analysis of electronic warfare/radar-based technical products and systems.
You will demonstrate success through:
  • Requirements definition, flow-down and traceability for complex electronic systems
  • Plan cost, schedule and execution plan of complex development and test activities
  • Develop, track and present technical performance metrics
  • Perform risk assessment and develop mitigation strategies for complex projects
  • Lead Systems Engineering Integrated Product Team
  • System design synthesis of complex electronic systems
  • Perform trade studies on a variety of system issues and components
  • Perform design verification testing efforts including lab, chamber, ground and captive flight test
  • Analyze data from design verification test efforts
  • Develop and run simulations and other analysis tools to predict system performance in various environments
  • Present results during internal and external program meetings
  • Participate in proposal activities both cost and technical
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have existing DoD clearance with current 5-year update, and the ability to obtain any additional clearances as required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science; Master’s degree highly desired
  • 8 - 13 years of experience in a related engineering field with some systems engineering experience
  • Experience with design, development and/or testing of radar and/or other RF systems
  • Experience with radar system components including antenna, receiver, exciter, and processor
  • Previous experience with requirements definition, flow-down, and traceability as well as design to cost
  • Defense industry experience and working knowledge of military standards
  • Familiarity with a variety of radar types and modes and previous experience with guided weapons and/or weapon systems is highly preferred
  • Proficiency with MATLAB, DOORs, EVMS are highly desired
  • Control account manager (CAM) experience is also highly desired
  • Physical requirements include ability to travel up to 10% and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
