We are searching for a Senior Software Systems Engineer 1 in our Advanced Systems & Technologies (AS&T) division. In this position, you would be responsible for software and programmable logic systems engineering. You would be part of a team focused on development, implementation, testing and analysis of technical radar and sensors products and systems. 
You will demonstrate success by:
  • Software/PL requirements definition, flow-down and traceability for complex electronic systems
  • System design synthesis of simple systems
  • Assisting in definition of processing architecture to include FPGA and GPU based processing
  • Verifying software/PL requirements
  • Developing and running simulations and other analysis tools to predict system performance in various environments
  • Supporting risk assessment and development of mitigation strategies
  • Contributing to processes and standards for software/PL architectures

Job Qualifications

Required Experience:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an existing DoD clearance with a current 5-year update; must be able to obtain and maintain additional clearances as required
  • 4-8 years of experience in a related engineering field with some systems engineering experience, preferably in complex system development
  • Design, development and/or testing of radar or sensor processing
  • Experience with radar system components including antenna, receiver, exciter, and processor
  • Requirements definition, flow-down and traceability
  • Software design, development and test experience
  • Model Based System Engineering and Micro Services Architecture
  • Exposure to programmable logic design flow, including pinout definitions, code generation and timing closure.
  • Continuous Integration, defense industry experience, working knowledge of military standards
  • Proficient with Matlab and C, C , Python
  • Inside knowledge of FPGA capabilities, limitations, and applications.
  • Proficient with VHDL or Verilog
  • Familiarity with DOORs
  • Familiarity with Radar processing modes
  • Physical requirements include the ability to travel up to 10% and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
