L3Harris is seeking to hire a Technical Editor/Writer to join our Engineering team to generate Illustrated Parts Catalogs for aircraft systems and mission systems. This individual must be able to complete a manual from start to finish. That is, from the front cover to the last index page, all areas of a manual are the responsibility of the writer to create and complete. This individual must also be able to create group assembly parts lists from engineering data and coordinate the development of graphics with illustration staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
-Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
-Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 6 or more years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
-Must have a strong background writing Illustrated Parts Catalogs
-Must be able to work well with colleagues, internal customers, and external customers
-Must be able to work within defined budgets and meet schedule deadlines
-Strong computer skills with solid understanding of MS Office Suite and applications
-Master’s Degree in a technical field
-Working knowledge of ATA100, MIL-PRF-38807C and MIL-STD-37874
-Working knowledge of Interleaf Quicksilver and/or FrameMaker software applications
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
